When asked, Christian faculty cite loneliness and social isolation as the main reasons for why they don’t live missionally on campus. Working in our own silos, facing seemingly insurmountable task lists, it becomes easy to lose sight of Christ’s primacy in our lives. The UF Christian Faculty Fellowship is positioned to meet this need through our discipleship groups.

Here are the benefits from participating in a group:

  • Fellowship with a community of believers (people who understand our world and our calling) within our work environment. Proverbs 27:17 proclaims: “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
  • It’s a safe place to build relationships based on transparency, vulnerability, and personal connections.
  • Prayer backing — whether it’s mourning with those experiencing loss or celebrating answered prayers.
  • Deepening our knowledge of God through the study of Scriptures.
  • Mutual encouragement and support in our outreach to our students and colleagues.
